A final decision on whether women's boxing will be allowed in the 2012 London Olympic Games will be made in August.
The International Olympic Committee has indicated that they are ready to give their recommendation to the executive board that will then apparently make their decision at an August 13 meeting in Berlin.
Previously in a 2005 bid to get women's boxing in to the Beijing Olympics, the sport was rejected because the IOC decided its international reach as an international sport was insufficient.
Boxing is the last of 26 summer Olympics sports federations prepping for London that does not allow female participants.
