Strikeforce announced Saturday in St. Louis that Gina Carano (7-0) had signed a contract and would finally set the stage for her to fight Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (7-1) from Brazil on Aug. 15

Carano last fought in October 2008 defeating Kelly Kobold in a unanimous decision.

Santos’s only loss came four years ago in her first fight. Since then she has handily defeated her opponents and has five TKO victories in her last six bouts. She was heavily criticized in her April bout for coming in seven pounds overweight in her victory over against Hitomi Akano of Japan.
