The mystery surrounding Brock Lesnar's illness is finally beginning to fade away.  UFC president Dana White flew to Bismarck, MD today to visit Lesnar in his post-op room. Lesnar, who had to pull out of what was suppose to be this Saturday's event vs. Shane Carwin, had to undergo surgery to help solve a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract.  "The family was worried big time, they were freaking out," White said. "Brock was in big pain, he was hurting."  "He had a hole in his intestine," White also said. "The (stuff) was leaking into his stomach. That's what was causing him so much pain.  That and he had abscesses."

"We don't know if he'll ever fight again."

Lesnar's future in MMA is still very much up in the air. As of today Lesnar is resting in his Alexandria, Minn. home until early next week when he will undergo numerous tests at the famed Mayo Clinic in Richester, Minn.  Hopefully then it will be known whether or not Lesnar's career in the cage will continue.  "The doctor told him he hasn't been right for a year. His immune system has been trying to fight this thing and that's why he was susceptible to getting sick."  Now that the speculation is set aside, the UFC can now decide whether or not to have an interim match to crown a new champ until it is decided if Brock Lesnar can defend it.  Check back for more updates on this and more MMA news.
